The Fresno State women’s golf team kicked off the month of March with a fourth-place finish at the Fresno State Classic.
In the Bulldogs’ second home tournament of the season, junior Amelia Garibaldi led the team with a tie for fourth place and even par. Garibaldi improved after every round, capping off the tournament with a four-under finish in round three.
This was Garibaldi’s third finish inside the top five of the 2025-26 season, and her second of the spring.
Vunnisa Vu followed suit with a tied-10th finish at 7-over for the tournament. This was Vu’s second finish inside the top 10 and her first since the Soboba Classic in February.
Freshman Lara Goerlich had her best finish in a month at tied-21st.
In her final home tournament, Katelyn Lehigh improved after an opening round of 13-over. Lehigh closed out her tournament with back-to-back rounds of 79, placing her in a tie for 59th.
The team will have another short turnaround as they will play in the Juli Inkster Invitational, co-hosted by San Jose State and the University of San Francisco. The tournament will be played at the site of the 2020 PGA Championship, TPC Harding Park in San Francisco.
The ‘Dogs will then get a near-month-long break before they head to the Wyoming Cowboy Classic in April, followed by another break before the Mountain West Championship in late May.
