The 2026 NFL Draft wrapped up over the weekend and featured just one former Bulldog getting their name announced during the ceremony.
While just one name was called, multiple former players either signed as undrafted free agents or received invites to specific teams’ minicamps after the seven-round draft concluded.
The only former ‘Dog to get their name called was defensive back Julian Neal.
Neal was taken as the 99th pick in the draft by the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks. In his final collegiate year, Neal played for the Arkansas Razorbacks, where he recorded 55 tackles, 10 passes defended and two interceptions.
Prior to his year with the Razorbacks, Neal spent four years at Fresno State, which included a redshirt Freshman year in 2022. As a junior in 2024, Neal totaled 35 tackles, five passes defended, a sack and two interceptions.
Multiple players signed as undrafted free agents after the draft. Defensive back Al’zillion Hamilton signed with the Los Angeles Rams, long snapper Wesley Brown signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and offensive lineman Jacob Spomer signed with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Wide receiver Raylen Sharpe, who spent his last year of eligibility with the Arkansas Razorbacks, signed with the Indianapolis Colts. Sharpe was a member of the Fresno State football team in 2024.
Former ‘Dogs also got invites to minicamps.
Linebacker Jadon Pearson was invited to the Las Vegas Raiders minicamp, defensive lineman Finn Claypool was invited to the Seahawks minicamp as a fullback and defensive lineman Korey Foreman was invited to the New England Patriots and Buccaneers minicamps.
