Former Bulldogs Avery Watkins of women’s basketball and David Douglas Jr. of men’s basketball have found new homes.

Watkins has committed to the University of Pittsburgh after two years at Fresno State. Douglas Jr. is headed to Northern Illinois University after his two-year tenure with Fresno State.

Watkins transferred to Fresno State in 2024 after spending her freshman campaign with the University of Hawaii. She averaged 3.9 points per game during her two seasons with the Bulldogs, including a season-high 25 points against Colorado State back on Jan. 3

Douglas Jr. played 24 games in his two seasons at Fresno State after transferring from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay. He averaged 6.8 points per game during his time with the Bulldogs, including a season-high 21 points against the Air Force Academy on Jan. 31. Douglas Jr. was also key in the Bulldogs’ comeback win over the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Rebels on Feb. 3.

Former California Baptist University center Bradey Henige has transferred to Fresno State.

The 7-foot sophomore averaged 4.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for the Lancers this past season. Henige helped the Lancers win the Western Athletic Conference and earn a 14 seed in the NCAA Men’s Tournament.

Henige played in 30 games as a true freshman during the 2024-25 campaign and scored a season-high against Fresno State that year.

He was born and raised in Glendale, Arizona, and attended Cactus High School in his hometown.

Henige is the first center to transfer into Fresno State this offseason.

After redshirting this past season with Brigham Young University, guard KJ Perry has transferred to Fresno State.

The 6-foot-3-inch sophomore from Pacific Palisades, California, was the number one-ranked junior college recruit in the country during his freshman campaign at Citrus College. He averaged 17.5 points per game to go along with 2.8 assists and 2.5 rebounds.

Perry was a midseason enrollee for the Cougars last season, who were a six seed in the 2026 NCAA Men’s Tournament.

Former Fresno State guard Aram Soqui Urbano has committed to Merrimack College after spending his freshman campaign with the Bulldogs.

Soqui Urbano averaged two points per game across the 14 games he appeared in for the Bulldogs this past season. He made two starts for the Bulldogs, shooting 31% from the floor.

Soqui Urbano is the third former Bulldog who entered the portal to find a new home. He joins a Warriors team that won 23 games in this most recent season.

Former University of California, Berkeley Golden Bear Lola Donez has committed to Fresno State.

The 5-foot-11-inch guard spent the last two seasons with the Golden Bears, where she appeared in 61 games and averaged 1.7 points per game.

A Lahaina, Hawaii, native, Donez was named the 2024 Gatorade Hawaii State Player of the Year. During her senior year of high school, she averaged 27.3 points per game.

Donez becomes the fourth guard to commit to Fresno State through the transfer portal. The ‘Dogs have yet to land a forward.

Former Loyola Marymount University guard Zawadi Ogot has transferred to Fresno State.

The sophomore guard averaged four points per game for the Lions, including scoring a season-high 13 points against Weber State back on Dec. 20.

Ogot had spent both previous seasons with the Lions after being a varsity player for all four years of her high school career.

The Upland, California, native is the third women’s basketball player to transfer into Fresno State thus far.

Brian Amuneke is returning to Fresno State after spending his sophomore season with the Wichita State Shockers.

He appeared in all 36 of the Shockers’ games last season and averaged 2.4 points per game with the team.

Amuneke spent his freshman campaign at Fresno State, where he averaged 7.7 points per game and 2.6 rebounds per game in the 29 games he appeared in.

Amuneke joins Quentin Rhymes of the University of Nebraska and Dragon Lungu of the University of Tennessee at Martin as the transfers the Bulldogs have gotten so far.

According to Talia Goodman of On3, Saint Mary’s College guard Jada Hunter and Sacramento State guard Rubi Gray have announced their commitments to Fresno State, while Danae Powell and Aloni Oliver have new homes ahead of next season.

Hunter spent the last two years playing for Saint Mary’s, appearing in 43 games. In the most recent season, she averaged 5.8 points per game and logged a season-high 15 points against Santa Clara University back on Jan. 17.

Hunter had transferred to Saint Mary’s after spending a season with Laney College, where she was named the California State Player of the Year for Northern California.

Gray comes to Fresno State after playing for the Hornets the previous two seasons. She averaged 14.2 points per game last season for the Hornets and started 13 of the 33 games she appeared in. The 5-foot-10 junior is from Tasmania, Australia, and played for the Devonport Warriors Basketball Club’s U22 team at 15 years old.

For the Bulldogs’ losses, Powell has committed to Loyola Marymount University after a solid 2025-26 season with the Bulldogs. In 33 games, she averaged 12.3 points per game and shot 40.9% from beyond the arc.

Oliver has committed to California State University, Bakersfield. In 20 games with the Bulldogs, she averaged 0.8 points per game during her freshman campaign.

Dragos Lungu will be transferring to Fresno State from the University of Tennessee at Martin, according to BarkBoard. He played six games and averaged 13.8 points per game this past season before suffering a season-ending injury to his left arm on Nov. 23, 2025.

Lungu played 37 games in two seasons at the University of San Diego before transferring to UT Martin. He’s a 6-foot-6 guard from Romania and scored double-digit points in every game he played in for the Skyhawks. 

Lungu joins Quentin Rhymes as the first two players to transfer into Fresno State thus far.

Fresno State breakout freshman Deshawn Gory is transferring to Oregon State, according to 247sports. In 32 games played for the Bulldogs this past season, Gory averaged 13.7 points per game and 6.2 rebounds. He was named an All-Mountain West honorable mention. 

With the Bulldogs’ move to the Pac-12, Gory will make a return to the Save Mart Center when the two teams battle in conference play. Gory is the second Bulldog who entered the portal to find a new home.

Fresno State men’s basketball landed its first commitment through the transfer portal.

Quentin Rhymes has committed to Fresno State, according to 247 Sports. Rhymes was a redshirt freshman at Nebraska and averaged 22.4 points per game during the 2024-25 season at Hillcrest Prep High School in Arizona. He did not see any action at Nebraska.

The 6-foot-6-inch guard was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, and was a three-star recruit coming out of high school.

Wilson Jacques has committed to DePaul University, according to his Instagram. The 7-foot center averaged 8.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game in 32 games for the Bulldogs.

The Metz, France, native is the first of the Bulldogs to find a new home after entering the transfer portal. 

Guard Aram Soqui Urbano has entered the transfer portal, he announced via his Instagram account. The freshman from Mexico appeared in 14 games for the Bulldogs this past season and averaged two points per game.

The total of men’s basketball players in the portal now stands at 11.
