The Fresno State men’s basketball team had two players voted to All-Mountain West honors ahead of the conference tournament.
Senior guard Jake Heidbreder was named to the All-Mountain West Third Team and freshman guard DeShawn Gory earned an All-Mountain West Honorable mention.
Heidbreder led the team with 16.7 points per game and 36.9 minutes played per game in the regular season.
The senior is also among the top of the conference in multiple statistical categories in conference play. Heidbreder is averaging the seventh most points per game, has the seventh best 3-point percentage at 31.1% and leads the Mountain West with a 91.9% free throw percentage.
He is also in the top 10 in steals per game.
Gory was named to an All-Mountain West Honorable Mention.
The true freshmen ended the regular season as the Bulldogs’ second-leading scorer with 13.8 points per game.
Gory put up six double-doubles this season, which included a career-high 31-point, 14-rebound performance against the New Mexico Lobos on Jan. 21.
He followed up a 14-point double-double in a win against Colorado State with a 13-point performance on 50% shooting in a win against the Wyoming Cowboys, earning his first and only Old Trapper Mountain West Freshman of the Week honors on Jan. 19.
