A bad vegetarian

By Timothy Ellison Nov 16, 2007
I ORDERED THE NO. 3 platter at The Old Spaghetti Factory last Friday and the waitress responded with a wry smile, “The meat lover’s platter, sure.â€Â What did she say? A meat lover? Me? It felt dirty, especially since my girlfriend was sitting right next to me.

Bull-Dog food

On any given day at Dog House Grill you might walk through the double doors to cheers — they’re not for you.

Cooking up a more appealing display

By Farin Montanez Nov 16, 2007

Students who enjoy the menu at the Central Valley’s only Chick-Fil-A, the new look of The Vintage Room and University Courtyard Dining Hall and the availability of fresher, healthier food have one person to thank – the newly hired Food Service Director, David Binkle.

Can̢۪t have one without the other

By Kim Anderson and Jimmy Graben Nov 14, 2007
Kim: Nothing completes a sporting event like what you eat and drink while watching the game. For me, certain foods go with certain sports (mainly because of the limited choices they give you). When I visit Dodger Stadium, I have the traditional Dodger Dog to complete my experience. The times that I decided to save my $4.50 and opted for my own peanuts were fun, but not the same.

By Vicente Reyes Nov 14, 2007
From tacos and coffee, to spaghetti and buffalo wings, there are numerous menu items and multiple outlets to eat at, both on and off campus. It all depends on what a student is in the mood for. On campus, there are a number of places that students can go to satisfy those inevitable hunger pangs. The University Student Union (USU) is probably the most known and visited location. The USU food court offers students the choice of eating at Subway, Panda Express or the newly added Chick-fil-A.

Food shorties

By Nancy Yang Nov 14, 2007
Students are becoming more concerned about their health and what they are eating. The Wellness Challenge that launched earlier this year at Fresno State helps students recognize healthier choice of a meal. Fat chance

By Benjamin Baxter Nov 14, 2007
I'M FAT. Local news stations like reminding me. I'm not alone, either. News of every flavor reminds me that it's an epidemic. That means you have it, too, or you will.

To brown bag it or not to brown bag it?

By Allison Asahina Nov 14, 2007
The price students pay for convenience –– err, maybe not. Plenty of food choices are available to students on campus and off, with prices almost equal to the variety of options. A fast paced life can make an impact on health and on the wallet. Price plays almost an equal role to convenience.

WEB-SPE@K: How do you like campus food?

By Staff Reports Nov 8, 2007
What are your thoughts on the general quality of food on campus, including the campus dining hall, the University Student Union, the Bucket and the various cafés scattered around campus? What about the selection of food available to students?

Dorm food really not that bad

By Benjamin Baxter Oct 31, 2007

It would be a shame to throw away my perfect sandwich. It may look like an ordinary pastrami, roast beef and pepper jack with mustard on wheat, but it is also a work of art. It was made with such...
