Who is the real Christina Clark?
A question and answer session with Bulldog athletes.
Ryan Tubongbanua / The Collegian
Fresno State’s Christina Clark has put together a tremendous senior season, batting .430 to go with 5 home runs. Clark would like to try-out for the U.S. Olympic team upon graduation. |
She’s owned the school’s all-time home run record for awhile now, but she also may be having her best season as a Bulldog so far this year. We know she can swing the bat and pick it at shortstop, but who is the real Christina Clark?
Q: What kind of car do you drive? Year and color?
Clark: Toyota Camry. 2000. Silver.
Q: What are your plans when you finish school?
Clark: I definitely want to shoot for the Olympics. If I get asked to try out, that is definitely my first goal. I’m engaged so I plan on going home and finally getting married.
Q: Who was your role model growing up?
Clark: I really didn’t have one. My sister played with Laura Berg (Fresno State assistant coach), I think I looked up to her a lot.
Q: How did the pre-inning dance thing come about?
Clark: I think we were just messing around at practice one day. It pretty much just happened.
Q: What is your favorite moment as a Bulldog so far?
Clark: I’d probably say when I was playing against Hawaii, when I hit all those home runs. That definitely sticks out.
Q: What is your favorite out of town roadtrip?
Clark: None. To be honest with you I’d much rather play in our own stadium in front of our own fans.
Q: Three things you can’t live without?
Clark: Friends to start off with. I’d probably say my computer, my laptop. I’d probably say family.
Q: Why pick No. 14?
Clark: When I was younger I just picked that number and it stuck ever since. I’ve had that number since I was about eight.
