• The Bulldog men’s golf team will open its spring season today at a three-day match in Hawaii.


The team will play the par-72 Waikoloa Village Golf Course. The tournament will feature some of the nation’s top golf squads including No. 2 Georgia Tech and No. 3 Oklahoma State.


Fresno State’s lineup includes seniors Jonny Rosa, Jason Anthony and Brian Kelley.


The tournament format is 18 holes per day.


Fresno State’s golf team is currently ranked No. 55 nationally.


Head coach Mike Watney said in a press release he hopes to see the team move up in the rankings over the course of the season.

• The Fresno State men’s basketball team will be featured on ESPN for the first time since 1999.


The team will be included in the Fourth Annual BracketBusters on Feb. 18 at 9 p.m. The 26 teams featured in the BracketBusters program were chosen from a pool of 100 programs representing 18 conferences.

• The Lee Adams Invitational is up next for the Fresno State track team. The Bulldogs just finished wrapping up a fifth-place finish in the Air Force Invitational, totaling 46 points overall.
