Lune Wine Bar and Eatery is located on Fulton Street in Downtown Fresno. It’s a comfortable restaurant that offers an array of pleasant seating for wine enthusiasts to sip their favorite red and white wines while eating small bites.
The elegant decor and attention to detail inside the restaurant, including an abstract painting of a female figure holding a tray with two glasses and a bottle of wine, gives the eatery a fancy dining aesthetic.
However, the prices are impeccable. For $86, my girlfriend and I enjoyed a glass of crisp white wine, a glass of champagne, four easy-to-eat small shareable plates and a savory dessert.
During my dining experience, I had a bite of the burrata plate, crispy calamari, truffle fries and goat cheese stuffed peppers. Out of all the dishes that I ate at Lune, my favorite was the cheesy truffle fries. For $9, this dish is a perfect starter for a night of fruitful wine paired with tasty food. The grated bits of parmesan cheese on top of the fries, combined with a hint of salt, was enough to satisfy my hungry stomach on a Thursday afternoon.
My second favorite dish was the crispy calamari, which had a perfect tender crunch. Surprisingly, the squid inside the breading had a fresh taste. The calamari was combined with two sides of dipping sauces: aioli and a cocktail sauce. I’m a sauce guy, so these two sauces were delicious to eat with the calamari.
To end the night, I quickly ate the goat cheese stuffed peppers, which had a refreshing taste with the tomato and cheese combination. After finishing the stuffed peppers, I was still hungry, so I decided to fulfill my sweet tooth by eating my favorite dessert of all time: crème brûlée. It was the perfect sweet ending after eating so much savory food.
For anyone who wants a chill yet elegant experience, Lune Wine Bar is the perfect spot for you to try new wines and eat delicious food for a reasonable price.
