At approximately 11 p.m. on Friday, the Fresno Police Department responded to a domestic violence call at the North Park Apartments on Woodrow and Shaw Avenues across the street from the Fresno State Recreation Center.
The incident involved one man, one woman and a child.
Fresno PD Lt. Marcus Gray confirmed with The Collegian that police contained all three individuals from the apartment.
The male resisted police custody, but was later detained.
“He was arrested, he remained combative and they’re still currently investigating the extent of the domestic violence disturbance,” Gray said.
The female and child were taken into an ambulance, but were not seriously injured.
“They are relatively unharmed and we’re still conducting an investigation to determine exactly what happened,” Gray said.
The man was also unharmed, according to Gray.
There were approximately 15-20 patrol cars and two ambulances at the scene.
“It requires multiple units that way we can have the resources available if any emergency is necessary,” Gray said.
Police are actively investigating to determine the details of the incident.
