What are your thoughts on downloading music illegally? Who does it hurt? Is it a victimless crime?

Dear Mr. Baxter

By Benjamin Baxter Oct 10, 2007
I KNOW WOMEN. I’ve read “Dear Abby.â€Â Ironically, despite my dozens of years of experience wooing the ladies with words, champagne and well-placed winks, Abby was the lady with the only relationship advice I ever needed.

A few weeks ago a woman, Tanya Rider of Washington, was stuck in her car for eight days while her husband tried desperately to get the police just to look for her. The police wouldn̢۪t even let...

A ‘liberal education’

BEN BAXTER’S ARTICLE in this Wednesday’s Collegian got me thinking, as his articles usually do. Thumbs up to the Bulldogs for their victory over the Bulldogs. While we certainly appreciate the win, we are in dismay over the̢۪Dogs apparent inability to play well until the second halves of games. According to The Fresno Bee, the team has been outscored 70-18 in first halves this season by their opponents. Perhaps we should think about not letting the team play until after 8:30 p.m.

‘Who’s in charge?’ explained

By Staff Reports Sep 28, 2007
The Sept. 26 edition of The Collegian featured on its front page an article by news reporter Katrina Garcia under the headline, “Who’s in charge?” The article, referring to an alcohol-related incident involving members of the sorority Delta Zeta, posed the central question: When fraternities and sororities find themselves embroiled in issues with potential legal recourse, to whom do they turn, and to whom are they accountable?
