Baseball takes two of three games from UCLA

The Bulldogs were defeated in their third game against UCLA on Sunday after winning the first two games of the series against the Bruins.
Fresno State fell behind early in the third game after two UCLA home runs.
The Bulldogs led the game after the first inning thanks to two singles and an RBI by Kent Sakamoto. The Bruins came back with a vengeance in the bottom of the inning, scoring three runs with a home run off Fresno State starter Brandon Burke.
The Bruins staged a comeback in the second, scoring two runs with a solo home run plus a RBI.
Steve Susdorf hit a solo home run for the Bulldogs in the third inning to put the ‘Dogs back on the board, but the Bruins added two more in the fourth to take a 7-2 lead.
The game’s final score was 12-2.
After Friday's game was suspended after two fog delays, the Bulldogs came back on Saturday to win it 11–9, followed by a 5–0 win in what turned out to be a double-header.
Holden Sprague picked up the series' first win, followed by Andy Underwood, a Fresno City transfer who picked up the win in Saturday's game.
The Bulldog baseball team will next take on the Pepperdine Waves in their home opener on Feb. 10.
