The magic of the Christmas season is rapidly approaching and all around the neighborhood people are preparing.

Some are out getting their Christmas shopping done, some are finalizing plans to visit family and some are decorating their homes. But if you live on Christmas Tree Lane the pressure of decorating your house should already be over.

Christmas Tree Lane, located on Van Ness Avenue on the corner of Van Ness and Shields will be open for the first time this year on Thursday, Dec. 1 and will be closed again until Dec. 7. Houses all down the street will be elaborate decorated with lights and decorations honoring the holiday season.

Fresno State will be holding a Christmas Tree Lane Reception at the University House on Dec. 1 at 5:30 p.m. and the Bulldog Marching Band will perform at 6:30 p.m. prior to traveling to Van Ness for opening night. All students and community members are welcomed to join the festivities.
