I say sure let them get married, who cares?

A few people are going to be uncomfortable sure; people were uncomfortable when my grandparents got married.

Why? Because she was white and he was Chinese. People thought it was a sin, especially the nuns. They thought by allowing marriages between the races it would lead to polygamy, underage marriage, people marrying their dogs and people marrying their furniture.

Guess what though?

My grandparents were allowed to get married and none of that stuff happened. The moral fabric of the universe did not break down. Legislators decided that their happiness and the happiness of others like them was more important than everyone else being comfortable in their little bubble universes.

I say the same thing is true here. I believe the happiness of homosexuals outweighs the need for conservatives and a lot of moderates to feel comfortable. After all, my pet snake makes a lot of people uncomfortable but I can still own it, because it’s my personal choice.

I know some people say it’s a sin and goes against the Bible. Guess what, just because you keep saying this is a Christian society does not make it true.

This country has no official religion and religion needs to keep itself separate from politics like it’s supposed to.

Are we looking at this issue with all the same facts?

Do we even have all the facts? I don’t think so.

The issue of same sex marriage is not simply about adults having private freedoms.

Many variables such as biology and history, which the law does not explicitly cover, have to be considered to even try to understand marriage.

In every culture and nation, conception started with a man and a woman resulting in the birth of a child.

The biology of reproduction existed before any law or institution was created.

A man is not biologically equal to a woman.

We cannot deny that the combination of a man and a woman is not the same or equal to same sex unions.

Historically, marriages have been heterosexual, perpetuating the human race and supporting the foundation of nations.

Marriage eventually became an institution, because the nations realized it was in their best interest to procreate.

There was no conspiracy by the world to exclude other combinations of human genders from participating in the institution of marriage.

Human sexuality could be flexible, due to nature and nurture, but it doesn’t answer the biology of marriage and the moral concerns of society.
