Legendary lawyer dies

Legendary lawyer Johnnie Cochran is dead.


Cochran, famously remembered for helping to clear O.J. Simpson of murder chargers, died of brain tumor yesterday at his home in Los Angeles.


Cochran was born Oct. 2, 1937 in Shreveport, La. He moved to Los Angeles with his family in 1949.
He earned his law degree from Loyola University after graduating from UCLA.


He spent two years in the Los Angeles city attorney’s office before establishing his own practice.


He successfully represented many celebrities, including Sean “P Diddy” Combs as well as rappers Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg on various charges.


Cochran was 67.
