Don't catch spring fever

The Sun Always Shines by CHHUN SUN

After receiving a glorious dose of family, friends and fun nights out, I returned from my spring break vacation with the inevitable virus that many of you might have now — spring fever.

It’s not the flu, the cold or anything remotely close to having allergies. It is a virus that affects the mindset of many college students, especially those coming off a vacation involving tremendous amount of relaxation or acts of hedonism.

The symptoms are undeniable.

Many of you probably feel uninspired, although there are only six weeks of school left. There’s also that laziness roaming inside you, restricting any effort to go full throttle with those 2,000 word term papers. Any remnants of the productive times you had before spring break are now gone.

And the temptation to lie out on the grass is so hard to ignore. You can resist the temptation, though; this virus is curable.

Just take some time to breathe, relax a little and pray that everything will be fine. And stop thinking about your spring break, because summer is only a few term papers and final exams away.

Good luck. I know I’ll need it.
