Rapper to appear at hip hop store grand opening

To make its grand opening unforgettable, the hip hop store FTK (Fits. Tunes. Kicks.) will have Grammy award-winning rapper Kanye West to welcome customers and greet fans Saturday at 6 p.m.

“He’s not scheduled to perform, but he might do something impromptu. Who knows?” said co-owner Bobby Naugle, who designed the cartoon bear for West’s debut album, “College Dropout.”

FTK, located on the northeast corner of Shaw and Blackstone avenues behind Video Liquidators, sells merchandise from rare sneakers to clothing one can only find in Los Angeles or the Bay Area, Naugle said.
