Crowd rallies against lay-offs

A group of more than sixty people representing multiple schools in the California State University system, which included members of the California Faculty Association (CFA) and Students United For Quality Education, gathered in the Free Speech Area at Fresno State to protest lay-offs, fee hikes, and furloughs.

A romanticized protest reminiscent of the 1960s reemerged at Fresno State Wednesday at “Vent At the Tentâ€Â. Organizers set up a blue tent near the fountain and asked students to vent their frustrations over higher tuition, less classes, and the financial struggles they’re enduring.
