Say them together: Ja’Vance Coleman and Quinton Hosley.

Just like on the basketball court, the duo of Coleman and Hosley can’t be mentioned one without the other in the same breath.

This time, the junior guard and forward were named to the Western Athletic Conference Second-Team on Sunday. In addition, Hosley was named to the WAC All-Newcomer Team, a squad Coleman was named to last year.

Both finished the season as one of the WAC’s top 10 scorers.

Averaging 18.6 points per game, Hosley, a native of Harlem, New York, became an immediate crowd favorite at home games, where he’d finish buckets with high-flying dunks. He was also a presence on the boards, grabbing about nine rebounds per game.

Against Nevada on Jan. 18 at home, Hosley set a career-high and Save Mart Center record for points with 35.

Despite not finishing as the Bulldogs top scorer for second time in a row this year, Coleman still made an impact, scoring 17.5 points and made the most 3-pointers in the WAC with 95.

He had eight 20-plus games and scored in double figures 12 times this season.

Bulldogs lose to Nevada

The Bulldogs didn’t have an answer for WAC Player of the Year Nick Fazekas, who scored 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Wolfpack to a 74-60 victory.

The Bulldogs finish the season with a 15-13 overall record and 8-8 in the Western Athletic Conference. And the Wolfpack finished on top of the WAC at 13-3 and 24-5 overall.
