Choir seeks to raise money after hurricane victim returns home

The books are ruined, the pianos are destroyed, but the music must continue for victims of Hurricane Katrina at the University of New Orleans. That is why all the proceeds from tonight’s concert titled “How Can I Keep From Singing?” will go to help restore the choral program at UNO.


Several days after the hurricane when students from the Gulf Coast were being shipped all over the country to continue their education, one UNO choir student named Tara Melvin ended up at Fresno State.
