The Fresno State women’s basketball team secured its seventh 20-win season in Idaho on Sunday with a 65-55 victory over Boise State.

The team’s record now stands at 20-6 overall and 12-2 in the WAC, giving it second place in conference standings.

Fresno State shot 48.6 percent in the first half of the game, taking a double digit lead six minutes in with a free throw from Amy Parrish.

A lay-up from Tierre Wilson added to the team’s lead, giving it an 18-2 advantage with more than 12 minutes remaining in the half.

Boise State attempted a comeback, scoring 11 points, but the Bulldogs embarked on a fourteen point scoring spree to increase its lead to 26 points – the greatest margin of the game.

Leading 43-25 at halftime, Fresno State increased their lead back up to 20 points by the 13-minute mark in the second half.

Trailing by 21 near the end of the game, Boise embarked on an 11 point scoring run.

The Fresno State women’s basketball squad will next play in the Save Mart Center later this week for its final two games of the regular season.

A win in each game would give the Bulldogs a school-record tying 22 wins under coach Adrian Wiggins.

Fresno State’s next game will be on Thursday, as it takes on Utah State at 7 p.m.

The regular season finale will also be a home game for the Bulldogs, as they host Nevada Saturday at 2 p.m.
