Men’s and Women’s Basketball starts tonight


The annual Red/White Scrimmage will take place today at Save Mart Center, displaying this year’s men’s and women’s basketball teams.


At 5:30 p.m., the gates open and both teams will participate in an hour-long autograph session on the arena concourse.


Coaches Steve Cleveland and Adrian Wiggins will introduce their teams at 7:15 p.m. A coed competition and dunk contest will follow.


Then a women’s and men’s scrimmage take action at 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., respectively.

Track meet at Save Mart Center scheduled


Fresno State will host the inaugural “Run For The Dream” indoor track meet at the Save Mart Center on Jan.


The meet, which is one of two scheduled track and field meets in the United States that will be held in a large indoor sport arena, will honor the memory of Martin Luther King, Jr. and the past, present and future of track and field.


The meet will include youth, high school, junior college, open-intercollegiate and pro divisions.

Wrestling begins season


Fresno State will kick off the season with its annual exhibition alumni match Nov. 4, marking the first time the public can get a chance to see the new wrestling squad, as well as past Bulldog wrestlers.


This year’s participants have yet to be announced.
