Walk-a-thon held for Donaldson


The Fresno State Athletics Department and the Bulldog softball program will conduct a walk-a-thon for junior left fielder Rachael Donaldson on Sat., Oct. 29, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., at Fresno State’s Warmerdam Field.


Donaldson was diagnosed with stage 4 soft tissue sarco ma in September.

Soccer takes on San Jose State for Senior night


Seniors Koleen Anderson, Barbara Davis, Kortney Lewis and Chelsea Mays will take part in a pre-game ceremony during tonight’s senior night game against San Jose State.


After taking on the Spartans (3-2-0 WAC), the Bulldogs (3-1-1 WAC) will travel to Hawaii to determine final WAC tournament seedings. The Bulldogs currently are two points behind co-leaders Hawaii and Nevada.

Equestrian heads to Cal Poly


The equestrian team will take 18 riders and head to the Cal Poly Invitational on Saturday, their third show of the fall schedule. Fresno State is a favorite in the English and Western disciplines.

Volleyball dismisses two more


Since the dismissal of La’akea Campbell Sept. 19, first-year head coach Ruben Nieves has dismissed two more players, Ilima Sam Fong and Mounia Nihipali.


Nieves said the three were dismissed because of poor attitudes.


Sam Fong was an outside hitter and setter and Nihipali was an outside hitter.
