Bulldogs will bring in top recruiting class

They want speed. They want strong
arms. They want young players with potential from around the Fresno area
to develop into good players.
With this mentality Fresno State baseball head coach Mike Batesole not
only got the players they need, but also national recognition for their
work.
For the third straight year, Fresno State baseball has bought in a top
20 recruiting class, as announced by Collegiate Baseball.
“We needed to address a couple needs and we addressed the needs
with some good players,” Batesole said.
In his three years at Fresno State, Batesole is known for bringing in
the best talent from the area. This year is no different.
In the pitching department, the Bulldogs will have two-time draftee Andy
Underwood, who spent the past two seasons at Fresno City College; and
two-time California Junior College Pitcher of the Year Justin Wilson,
who played at Buchanan High.
The Bulldogs got another local talent in shortstop Adam O’Daniel,
who was a two-year all-conference selection at Clovis High.
“Our alumni do a lot for us. The university does a lot for us. The
community does at lot for us.” Batesole said. “When you have
everyone pulling at the same end of the rope pulling at the same time,
you’re going to get something good.”
