The Collegian names fall '05 editorial staff

The editorial staff of The Collegian for the fall 2005 semester has been announced.
Maurice O. Ndole, The Collegian’s current news editor, has been named editor in chief. Ndole, who majors in print journalism and Africana Studies and has a minor in business, will oversee a staff of all new editors.
Laban Pelz, a senior mass communication and journalism major, will step in as news editor.
Jennifer Palmberg, also a senior MCJ major, becomes the editor of the features section.
Elizabeth Lefall, a senior MCJ major and the current editor of the African-American supplement Uhuru Na Umoja, will be next semester’s opinion editor.
Junior MCJ major Maggie Thach will take over as sports editor.
Joseph Vasquez, a junior photojournalism major, will be next semester’s photo editor.
This will be the first time since The Department of Mass Communication and Journa-lism took over The Collegian in 1998 that an editorial staff has been split evenly between males and females.
