Three players from the Fresno State women’s basketball team were selected for All-Mountain West honors for the 2025-26 season.
Senior forward Jaisa Gamble was named to the All-Defensive Team following a campaign that saw her average 2.2 steals per game in Head Coach Ryan McCarthy’s “mayhem” system. She averaged the most takeaways per game while logging 1,036 minutes — leading the Mountain West.
Gamble joins San Diego State guard Nala Williams, Air Force Academy guard Jayda McNabb and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas forwards Meadow Roland and Shelbee Brown on the defensive team.
Standout freshman Ava Marr was named to the All-Freshman Team. She captured three of the first six Mountain West Freshman of the Week to begin the season. Marr tied former Bulldog Taija Sta. (Santa) Maria for the most Freshman of the Week honors in program history.
Marr is accompanied by University of Wyoming forward Jane Rumpf, University of New Mexico guard Laila Abdurraqib, University of Nevada, Reno guard Skylar Durley, Grand Canyon University guard Ines Zouina and Air Force Academy guard Brhet Clay on the All-Freshman Team.
Graduate guard Emilia Long was named as an All-Mountain West Honorable Mention.
Despite leading the conference in steals, being top-eight in scoring and top-five in field goal percentage, Long was not named to the All-Mountain West Team.
Brown and Long were the only two players on the honorable mention list.
Gamble, Marr, Long and the ‘Dogs begin their Mountain West Conference championship run at 5 p.m. against the University of Nevada, Reno Wolf Pack at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.
