The Bulldogs have carved out an 18-point lead with two minutes left in the game. The Wyoming bench is quiet, watching as their interior defense is being attacked constantly by the likes of  Powell and forward Avery Watkins.
The Fresno State women’s basketball team is back home at the Save Mart Center, hosting the Wyoming Cowgirls.
The Cowgirls ended the Bulldogs’ season in the Mountain West Conference tournament semi-finals in March.
The Bulldogs dropped their conference opener 63-53 to the San Diego State Aztecs on Dec. 17. Guard Danae Powell led the Bulldogs with 16 points. Avery Watkins reeled in a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
The Cowgirls come into Fresno at 4-6 on the season. They opened up Mountain West play with an 83-60 victory over the San Jose State Spartans. Guards Henna Sandvik and Malene Pedersen led the scoring effort with 21 points each.
Pedersen is the only Cowgirl to average double figures.
The Bulldogs will look to avenge their tournament loss to the Cowgirls with tip off set for 2 p.m.
