Ahead of their final year in the Mountain West, the Fresno State softball team announced its schedule, with the Bulldogs starting their season off at home on Feb. 6.
First-year Bulldogs’ head coach Charlotte Morgan will start her tenure with two games each against Southern Illinois University and Idaho State University in the Fresno State Kickoff Classic.
Throughout their 2026 campaign, the Bulldogs will play five teams from last year’s College World Series. On Feb. 13, they open a three-game series against the University of Washington at home. The Bulldogs will play last year’s runner-up, Texas Tech University, at the Mary Nutter Classic in Cathedral City, California, on Feb. 19. They will play the University of California, Berkeley, the following day.
The Bulldogs will travel to play Santa Clara on March 8 and will wrap up their games against College World Series opponents on April 15 when they host Stanford University.
Mountain West Conference play will start March 13, with a three-game series against Utah State University.
Last season, the Bulldogs ended the season 37-20 under head coach Stacy May-Johnson, but fell 3-1 to San Diego State University in the championship game of the Mountain West tournament. Twelve players return from last year’s team, but May-Johnson left Fresno State earlier this year to become the head coach at her alma mater, the University of Iowa.
It’s the last season in the Mountain West before leaving for the Pac-12. The Bulldogs last won their conference back in 2021, where they went 37-12, but were knocked out in NCAA Regionals.
