The Fresno State men’s basketball team announced its 2025-26 schedule on Sept. 15. The Bulldogs look to improve after a disappointing season that saw the program finish with a 6-26 overall record (2-18 in conference play) in what was also Head Coach Vance Walberg’s debut season.
This season’s roster will come with an overhaul, as the team brings in the likes of Clemson guard Jake Heidbreder, University of California, Davis forward Jac Mani and University of Missouri-Kansas City guard Cameron Fass through the NCAA transfer portal.
The program will also welcome Clovis West High School commit guard D.J Stickman. Guard Zaon Collins, forward Makan Diouf and guard David Douglas Jr. return from the 2024 roster.
For the 2025 season, the Bulldogs will hit the hardwood on Nov. 3 to open the season against Fresno Pacific at home. From there, the Bulldogs will play six consecutive home games to start the season. Those games include contests against the University of South Carolina, Upstate, on Nov. 5, Long Beach State on Nov. 8, University of California, San Diego on Nov. 12, Utah Valley University on Nov. 15, Stephen F. Austin on Nov. 18 and the University of New Orleans on Nov. 21.
Perhaps the most notable game on the Bulldogs’ non-conference schedule takes place on Dec. 6, when the Bulldogs travel to Little Rock, Arkansas, and take on the John Calipari-led Arkansas Razorbacks at a neutral site.
The Razorbacks finished the 2024 season ranked No. 20 in the AP poll. They finished with a 22-14 overall record (8-10 in conference play).
The Razorbacks also secured a spot in the 2024 men’s NCAA March Madness basketball tournament where they were seeded No. 10 and defeated the No. 7 Kansas Jayhawks in first round 79-72, advanced to the second round and took down No. 2 St. John’s Red Storm, 75-66 before ultimately losing to No. 3 Texas Tech Red Raiders, 85-83 in the Sweet 16.
The Bulldogs begin conference play on Dec. 20, traveling to play the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. They host their first conference game of the season on Dec. 30 vs Utah State.
The Bulldogs will also have a new conference foe for the 2025 season, as Grand Canyon University joined the Mountain West. The Antelopes were previously members of the Western American Conference. The Bulldogs are set to host the Antelopes on Jan. 24. The Antelopes will then host the Bulldogs on March 7, in what will be the last game of the 2025 season for Fresno State before the 2026 Mountain West Championship tournament kicks off on March 11 in Las Vegas.
