• The Fresno State softball team finished the Kajikawa Classic Sunday, improving its record to 2–3 with a victory over Cal State Northridge.

The Bulldogs' Robin Mackin homered and notched 13 strikeouts in leading Fresno State to a 9–3 victory.

Both Kristin Sylvester and Haley Perkins had RBI singles for the Bulldogs, each coming in the top half of the sixth inning.

Fresno State will return home Tuesday for its home opener against the Pacific Tigers. First pitch of the double-header is scheduled for 6 p.m.
