‘OneBody’ opens Friday

“OneBody,” a campus production that includes surround sound and a 3-D projector, will be performed Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m. in the Satellite Student Union.


Based on “The Slave with Two Faces,” a late-nineteenth-century one-act play by Caroline Davies, “OneBody” will have professional actors, professors and student performing, as well as collaboration with the music, theatre arts, art and design and mass communication and journalism departments.


The production is free for Fresno State students, and $10 for general admission. For more information, visit www.onebody2005.com.

Play to focus on African-American literature

The Fresno State Theater Department will have An Evening of African American Theater with a play titled “Shakespeare in the Hood,” a presentation that focuses on African-American dramatic literature, on May 20 at 8 p.m. in the Lab School Theater.


The presentation features a series of scenes from playwright August Wilson and a reading from an original play titled “Single Black Female.”
