Philosophy and religion meet in the mountainsStudents will have the chance to enjoy the beauty of Yosemite while learning about philosophical and religious ideas on what it means to live a good life during the philosophy department’s Living Well retreat at the Tenaya Lodge on April 25. The keynote speaker at the event will be Amy Hollywood, a professor of theology and the history of Christianity at The Divinity School. The event will also feature professors from the Fresno State, Colorado College and Indiana University philosophy departments. The retreat will last from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. The registration fee is $25 to attend the luncheon from 11 a.m. until noon. Students can skip the luncheon and attend the conference for free.
