Fresno State’s largest student-run event returns this weekend as Vintage Days celebrates its 52nd anniversary, bringing thousands back to campus for a weekend of food, music and student-led activities.
The annual spring festival is set for April 17-19 on campus and will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission and parking are free for all attendees.
Vintage Days will feature more than 160 craft vendors offering handmade goods, along with over 15 food vendors serving a wide variety of options. Live music from local artists will be held throughout the weekend in the Vintage Days Beer and Wine Garden.
Returning attractions include a candy-themed Kids Zone featuring a petting zoo, inflatables and pony rides. The Anime Gaming Con will also return, giving attendees a space to explore gaming, cosplay and other interactive experiences.
“This year marks the 52nd anniversary of Vintage Days, and we’re excited to continue building on a long-standing tradition at Fresno State,” said Fabian Hubner, a graduate assistant for major campus events. “Attendees can look forward to a wide range of new attractions, daily live performances from local bands and an incredible selection of food vendors.”
New this year, a fashion show presented by Fashion Inc. will highlight designs created by Fresno State students.
For many students, Vintage Days is something they look forward to each year.
“I went last year with my friends and it ended up being super fun,” said Marissa Chavez, a sophomore biochemistry major. “I love the energy this event brings to Fresno State.”
Student organizations will once again play a central role, hosting food and game booths that raise funds while showcasing campus involvement. The event draws tens of thousands of attendees from across the Central Valley each year.
Traffic and parking changes will be in effect throughout the week. Parking lots P30 and P31 will be closed from April 15-19, and the Shaw and Barton avenues entrance to campus will be closed on Friday. Alternative staff and ADA parking will be available in Lot P1 off Shaw and Maple avenues.
Vintage Days remains one of Fresno State’s biggest events each spring, bringing both students and community members to campus.
