The 25th annual Rogue Festival starts tonight and spans until March 7, spreading throughout venues in Tower District.
The first weekend of Rogue Fest runs Feb. 7- March 1, and the second weekend runs from March 5-7. Each weekend, there are over 25 shows a day, from singer-songwriters to poetry readings to magic shows.
“This year’s Rogue will present over 200 performances from over 50 different performing groups in 10 different venues for six days of theater, music, dance, improv, comedy, storytelling, performance art, magic and more,” said Jaguar Bennett in a press release.
Rogue Fest is an outlet for artists and creatives to showcase their talents, and all proceeds go directly to the artists.
Businesses in Tower District open their doors to welcome these shows, including the Spectrum Art Gallery, Arts Annex, The Lotus Room and Stargazer Cottage.
Creative writers from Fresno State’s Department of English will headline the “Fresno Writers Live” performances at the Rogue Festival on Feb. 28, March 1, 5 and 7.
Tickets for these shows cost $10, along with a one-time purchase of a $7 Rogue Fest wristband.
Tickets can be bought online or at the venue 30 minutes before the show. Seats are limited, so showing up early is recommended.
