The Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (JCAST) will host the Harvesting the Leaders of Tomorrow Career Fair for students and recent alumni on Feb. 4 from 12-4 p.m. at the Satellite Student Union.
Career fairs are events where students can learn about internships and jobs with different companies and, in this case, find a wide variety of career opportunities related to agriculture, government, food processing and natural resources.
“It’s nice to be able to have these resources on campus,” said Kendra Reyes, a liberal studies major. “It really helps me, and I think a lot of other students are able to find jobs or learn that there are other opportunities we didn’t know about.”
The JCAST has hosted events like this in recent semesters, such as in September 2024, when they held a career fair at J.E. O’Neill Park. Between 15 and 30 companies came out and provided information and networking opportunities to help students get acquainted with the industries they are interested in.
