Peace Fresno is organizing a series of protests in Fresno this month titled “ICE Out.” The protests are scheduled to take place every Saturday in February from 3-4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Blackstone and Nees avenues near River park. The dates listed on the promotional flyer are Feb. 14, 21 and 28.
Organizers are inviting members of the public to attend the protests. According to the event flyer, the gatherings are open to anyone interested in participating or observing.
The flyer identifies Peace Fresno as the organizing group and describes it as a social justice-focused organization.
Promotional materials for the protests include a quote attributed to Martin Luther King Jr. that reads, “Individuals have a responsibility to disobey unjust laws and that accepting evil without protest is cooperating with it.”
The flyer does not list a formal program or scheduled speakers.
