Nicolas Matute, a freshman business major and friend of one of the victims, confirmed that his friend was transported to the hospital with an open head wound on Tuesday night.
“I don’t know how [the other victim] is, but my friend and I are at the hospital because she split her forehead open,” Matute said in a message to The Collegian shortly after the collision.
He said his friend called him after she got into the accident, so he went to make sure she was OK.
Lisa Bell, Fresno State’s public information officer, said Thursday morning that the university is not able to provide any more details.
