Fresno State women’s soccer Head Coach Brian Zwaschka has been relieved of his duties, the team announced on Nov. 18. The program will begin a national search for a coach immediately.
No reason was announced for the change in leadership.
Zwaschka led the Bulldogs to a 112-142-51 record in 17 seasons as head coach.
Before moving to the Mountain West, Zwaschka helped guide the Bulldogs to a Western Athletic Conference (WAC) championship in 2010. Zwaschka manned one conference transition for the Bulldogs, but will not oversee another.
In his time in the Mountain West, Zwaschka never won a conference title, but led the Bulldogs to eight conference tournament appearances and was a runner-up twice. The Bulldogs last won a conference tournament game in 2019.
Zwaschka and the Bulldogs were one game away from making the Mountain West tournament in 2025, but failed to qualify when the San Diego State Aztecs received the final bid after defeating the New Mexico Lobos on the final day of the season.
Associate Head Coach Sean Steele will serve as the head coach during the national search.
