Fresno State police are investigating an electric scooter theft that took place on the north side of the Student Health and Counseling Center at approximately 3:53 p.m. on Oct. 6.
The Fresno State Police Department issued a Timely Warning Crime Bulletin in a schoolwide email addressing the theft on Oct. 7, where they provided details of the unknown suspect.
According to police, the suspect is a white or Hispanic male with a medium build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white bulldog logo on the front.
The suspect wore the hood over his head with an unknown face mask and was last seen heading south off campus, pushing the scooter.
With the increase in scooter thefts across campus, campus police are encouraging students to register their scooters with the department.
Along with this, police offered more tips to students, such as using the scooter racks installed across campus and investing in a high-quality U-lock made of hardened steel.
If students have any information regarding the incident, they are encouraged to contact the Fresno State Police Department at 559-278-8400.
