Runners and donut lovers alike will gather at Woodward Park on Oct. 19 for the annual Fresno Donut Run.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley, which provides housing and support for families with children receiving medical care away from home.
The race begins at 8:15 a.m. with a timed 5k run and walk, followed by a Kids Donut Dash at 8 a.m. for children ages 9 and under. Participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt, a donut-shaped finisher medal and donuts at the finish line.
Race Packets can be picked up on Oct. 18, from noon to 3 p.m. at Fleet Sports Fresno, or on the morning of the race between 6:45 and 7:45 a.m. at Woodward Park’s Mountain View Shelter.
Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, along with the top three runners in each age division. Registration for the 5k costs about $5, while the kids Dash costs $30. Both events close for registration on Oct. 18.
