Plato’s Closet is holding its “Fill a Bag” clearance event on Saturday at 10 a.m., offering shoppers deals and savings on gently-used clothing and accessories.

During the “once-a-season” promotion, according to their website, customers are invited to bring any bag of their choice, fill it with clearance items and receive 90% off everything inside. The event is open to the public.

The store, located on Shaw and Fifth avenues, buys and sells reused clothing, shoes and accessories. Currently, Plato’s Closet is buying clothes from customers for all seasons. Items in demand include tanks, shorts, sandals, denim and dresses. All sizes are welcome, and no appointment is necessary to sell.

In addition to offering cash on the spot, sellers can choose to trade in their clothing for a 10% discount on their purchase.

Because shoppers can bring any bag with no size restrictions, many come prepared with tote bags, backpacks or even large shopping bags to maximize their savings.
