On Aug. 19, Fresno State Football received a $100,000 anonymous donation to the Valley Co-Op fund.
On July 11, Fresno State Football received a $1 million donation from Jami Hamel DeLaCerda and the Diamond Learning Center.
The Bulldog Foundation interviewed Fresno State Athletic Director Garrett Klassy on why Valley Co-Op was created and how it is going to help Fresno Athletics.
“The Co-Op isn’t just a fund, it’s a movement built on pride, grit, and collective belief in what’s possible,” Klassy said.
Valley Co-Op started the donation program to help give Fresno State student-athletes a chance to succeed.
Donations can be made to any of the sports teams that Fresno State offers. The money that is donated to the team goes straight to the coaches, and they decide where the money goes. Some options for where these funds might go are new gear or renovations to stadiums or locker rooms.
Money donated to Fresno State Athletics is tax-deductible, and includes, online and print recognition, priority points and exclusive Valley Co-Op gear.
There are also different levels to the donations: $100 is a Co-Op member, $1,000 is a Harvest Partner and $10,000 is a Founders Circle.
Donations can be made through the Bulldog Foundation website.
