“I Heart Fresno State Week”, the week-long celebration of all things Fresno State, returns to campus from March 24-28.
Held every spring semester, Spotlight Events hosts “I Heart Fresno State Week” as a way for students to enhance their Bulldog Pride by participating in daily events featuring free food and fun activities on campus.
This year’s “I Heart Fresno State Week” is centered around music, specifically EDM and house music, with the inclusion of local DJs from Dog Daze Music Festival and a live performance from Bulldog Breakers, Fresno State’s break dancing club.
In addition, the Spotlight Events team is teaming up with local businesses and organizations to cater to all kinds of students’ interests and expose them to what is available beyond campus. Some of these businesses include Divine Coffee Co and the Valley Girls Run Club, both founded by current and former Fresno State students.
Bianca Palma, Spotlight Events advisor, highly encourages students to attend because these events are geared toward them, allowing them to destress from midterms and other responsibilities.
“Make your college experience worthwhile,” Palma said. “I know it’s hard sometimes because people have two jobs and they’re full-time students, but if they have the opportunity to come to any spotlight event, I promise they’re gonna find something in that event that they’ll have a good memory of or at least a good feeling of.”
The full list of events is as follows:
Monday, March 24 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Resnick Student Union Plaza: House Cafe, where students can stuff a cow plushie, grab a drink from Divine Coffee Co or Hapa California Coffee and enjoy live music by DJ Cuevas.
