The International Agri-Center in Tulare will be the site of the 58th annual World Agriculture (Ag) Expo starting tomorrow and ending on Feb. 13.
General admission costs $20 for adults and is free for children under six. The theme for this year is “Paving the Way for Ag and Technology.” The doors are open on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Fresno State will appear at the World Ag Expo through the WET Center which will be hosting a seminar and panel discussion called “Innovating Agriculture: Insights from Ag Tech Startup Founders.” The panel begins tomorrow at 10 a.m. in the first seminar trailer.
The World Ag Expo will hold networking, business and education opportunities with approximately 1,200 exhibitors showcasing the newest farming technology, chemicals, equipment and communications. The displays will be spread out over 2.6 million square feet.
To avoid overcrowding, the Park and Ride program offers free shuttle transportation to and from the event grounds from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Pick-up and drop-off spots are located at the Tulare Outlet Mall, the Tulare Airport, the Tulare fairgrounds and the Mid-Valley Cotton Gin. In Visalia, it is at Plaza Park and in Exeter at The Center for Art, Culture, and History. Reservations are required for commuters coming from Fresno and Clovis.
Other major partners and sponsors at the event include Visit Visalia, Toyota, Tulare Chamber of Commerce and Bank of America.

With over 100,000 people from 81 countries expected to attend, the World Ag Expo may be one of the biggest events held in the Central Valley all year.
