Two of five teams with Bulldogs in action this week earned wins around the League. Week 3 of the NFL season ends with some former Bulldogs playing on Sunday and some playing on Monday.
Davante Adams has mild performance as Raiders get upset by Carolina
Adams and the Las Vegas Raiders had an off day with the star wide receiver only getting four receptions for 40 yards.
Even though it wasn’t his best day, Adams had a pair of teammates in wide receivers Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tuckers grab touchdowns.
Ultimately, they were overpowered by the Carolina offense led by new starting quarterback Andy Dalton, resulting in a crushing loss for the Raiders.
Week 3 Result: Carolina Panthers 36, Las Vegas Raiders 22
Week 4 Game: Sunday (9/29) vs Cleveland Browns
Derek Carr struggles in loss to Philly
After looking nearly unstoppable through the first two weeks, Carr was pretty well tamed by the Philadelphia Eagles in week three. Carr went 14-for-25 passing, for only 142 yards.
The bulk of Carr’s production came late in the fourth quarter when Carr led New Orleans on a nine play, 50-yard drive. It ended in a 13-yard touchdown pass from Carr to teammate Chris Olave.
Carr tossed an interception on the Saints final drive of the game, putting the nail in the coffin.
Week 3 Result: Philadelphia Eagles 15, New Orleans Saints 12
Week 4 Game: Sunday (9/29) at Atlanta Falcons
Ronnie Rivers pivotal in Rams comeback win
Rivers had just two carries for nine yards in the Rams victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. But the backup running back had one of the biggest plays of the week in the NFL, keeping alive a first-half scoring drive on a trick play when he rushed for a first down on a fake punt.
The Rams would end up scoring a touchdown that drive, their only one of the first half.
Week 3 Result: Los Angeles Rams 27, San Francisco 49ers 24
Week 4 Game: Sunday (9/29) at Chicago Bears
Mykal Walker makes a play on special teams
The former Fresno State linebacker had one assisted tackle in Monday’s victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Week 3 Result: Washington Commanders 38, Cincinnati Bengals 33
Week 4 Game: Sunday (9/29) at Arizona Cardinals
