The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus will be rocking downtown this Thursday, Aug. 29 at Fulton 55 located at 875 E. Divisadero, Fresno, CA 93721.
Along with this classic emo powerhouse, Fulton 55 will also be hosting bands SediT and South Sixth from 6:30pm-11:00pm.
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is a post-hardcore band originating from Middleburg, Florida. They are well-known for their hit single Face Down, a song dealing with the issues of domestic abuse. The album the song was featured on, titled Don’t You Fake It, released in 2006, has since gone certified platinum according to the RIAA. They’ve also seen success in their 4 other studio albums. Their latest, The Awakening, was released in 2018.
South Sixth is a Modesto based pop-punk band taking listeners down memory lane with their 2000s alternative sound.
“We think this show will be a great source of nostalgia with a modern twist for anyone around our generation,” said one of the lead singers, CJ Groom. “All the bands playing including us have a sound that resembles all our favorite music growing up, or in Red Jumpsuit’s case, was some of the music we all loved back then, and still do.”
South Sixth cites Blink-182, Green Day, Alkaline Trio, NOFX, and Sum 41 as some of their musical influences. They look to the diverse sounds of the 2000s alternative music scene for inspiration.
“It’s going to be a fun night at Fulton 55 with a perfect range of alternative music,” Groom said.
This venue is for ages 21 and over and will require a valid ID for entry. Tickets are available in advance for $25 and for $30 on the day of the show.
Tickets are available online at Eventbrite or in person at Tower District Records, Calismokeshop2, and FlyTrendzClothingClovis.
