Out with the old, in with the new.
The Henry Madden Library has some new additions this semester, in addition to the new food policy recently introduced. New furniture was delivered to the building over the summer to give students a place of comfort.
Now that the newly remodeled Henry Madden Library is open and the shelves are lined with books, some students have been slowly reincorporating a working library into their school lives while others still haven̢۪t gone inside to see what the biggest building on campus has to offer them.
Earth Day will be celebrated today with the grand re-opening of the newly renovated Peace Garden, which will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, along with a private dedication of the Dean Richard D. Memorial Grove.

With a footprint of more than 350,000 square feet, the Henry Madden Library is the largest library in the California State University system. Yet, it is the library̢۪s green team that is making sure its carbon footprint is one of the smallest in the California State University system.

Since the start of the re-construction of the Henry Madden Library, checking out books required a request from the library, and then the book would be sent from the warehouse where they were being stored, followed by an e-mail sent when the book was ready to be picked up.
The Bulldogs opened the season strong after winning their opening series against Washington, winning two out of three games this past weekend at Beiden Field.
