With A.J. Ellis out for the game today, Rouse will get his chance to earn back his starting position. After rushing for 479 yards and four touchdowns last season behind Ryan Mathews, Rouse entered the 2010 season as the 'Dogs featured back. But injuries forced Rouse to miss the Utah State game and thus opened the door for Ellis. Against Cal Poly, the roles will be reversed, Ellis will be on the sidelines with Rouse taking the the majority of the handoffs from quarterback Ryan Colburn.
