The Fresno State volleyball team will face Louisiana Tech a second time immediately following the Bulldogs’ defeat of the Techsters in a five game match on Nov. 18.
Eighth-seeded Fresno State will meet up with 9th seeded Louisiana Tech in the WAC Tournament in Reno, Nev. on Nov. 22.
In the first game, Fresno State took an early lead 9-7 before tying at 13. The Bulldogs went on three 4-0 runs, interspersed with Louisiana timeouts and finally won on a kill and a service ace, 30-28.
The Techsters took an early lead in game two pulling through two Fresno State leads to win 40-38.
Fresno State took game three with a kill and a side out, but fell in game four with a hitting error.
The Bulldogs claimed the final victory by winning game five, 15-8.
In Saturday’s match, Fresno State’s Angela Wiggins led the Bulldogs with 25 kills, while outside hitter Alisha McKee added 13. Freshman Lacey Gera also chipped in with nine kills.
