Despite hitting a team-high .353 in the first game, Fresno State lost to Boise State. The Bulldogs’ Lacey Gera led the team with 15 kills.

The Fresno State women’s volleyball team lost against the Boise State in Idaho, Saturday, losing in three sets to the Broncos 31-29, 31-29 and 30-20.


Fresno State hit well in the match’s first game, with 23 kills and a hitting percentage of .353 — its highest of the year. However the Broncos' offense proved too much for the Bulldogs and the game ended with a 31-29 Boise victory.


Game two saw a close battle between the two teams and an eventual Bronco victory while Boise State took an early lead and kept it throughout the third game.


Fresno State’s Lacey Gera was the Bulldogs’ leader offensively, totaling 15 kills in the match.


The loss takes the Bulldogs to 0-4 in conference play for the season. They will next play at home against Utah State for a 7 p.m. start this Thursday.
