Bulldogs put up dog fight with Hawaii

The Fresno State women’s volleyball team lost to opponent Hawaii Friday night.
The Rainbow Wahine defeated the Bulldogs in three games, though the Bulldogs briefly held the lead in the first.
Hawaii took the lead after a kill but Fresno State fought its way back with an ace. However, the Rainbow Wahine recovered to win game one 30-23.
The second game of the match began with Hawaii taking a 5-0 lead and leading until the end. The final game saw a Fresno State comeback after Hawaii took an early lead.
Once again the Rainbow Wahine were able to win game with a series of kills.
Overall Fresno State netted 39 total kills and eight service aces in the three games. Junior setter Tiffany Hess led the Bulldogs’ efforts with 17 assists.
Fresno State will take to the road next week in conference play against Idaho and Boise State.
